Maybe make the Gallente and Amarr FB's use direct fire turret weapons and have the Caldari and Minmitar use missile based weapons, if you want to inject racial traits. That introduces instant damage though and so favors the previous 2. Maybe best to leave it as is.

I'm not sure if you're thinking out loud or if you imagine you gave an objection that made what I said irrellevant - but if it's the later what you say isn't really that relevant. I think we can be certain that the fighterbombers all will use torpedos, and that's set in stone. However the Hel bonus should really not be set in wet mud even since it sucks so insanely hard.
I was just pointing out that since the fb's weapon systems are set in stone, shouldn't the ms's bonuses also be? The hel needs a boost, but not necessarily in the fashion of granting it the main bonus of another race, as in the dps of the gallente race. The minmatar race is sort of a hybrid race with bonuses. Would it not be more fitting to reflect that in giving them half the bonus for dps and half the bonus for shield resists to keep a distinction? Also, since they are(pardon the name)super carriers, give them all the ability to carry full sets of fighters and bombers, with room for spares. No race would build one and skimp on the drone bay ffs. Just saying.

"The MS's bonuses are obviously not set in stone when it comes to the Hel since pre-Dominion they were (rightfully) changing that. Now they are back with a so far halfarsed suggestion that totally ignores that they remove triage and introduce FB's when they suggest to let Hel keep it's old bonus. An logistics bonus without triage on a supercarrier will need 3-4 Hel's to compete with a Nidhoggur in Triage - that's plain stupid. That's also the reason so many suggest that bonus to change - including youself in last post though you started to say it should be set in stone."
Let me make what I said clear. 1:Hel sucks, needs to be changed. 2:Making it the same as another race sucks, don't do it. 3:Stick with minnie traits, give it the split bonus to dps, resists.Speed is minnie trait, but on ms, it's like being the world's tallest midget. 4.Give all of them huge fighter/bomber drone bays. keep racial difference that all classes have so there is a point to having different races. That's about it.

also what u expect to get resists for ? since bonuses should be unique im pretty sure the only thing that's left for improved resists is structure...
Give the hel a bonus to it's shield resistances, less than caldari. Give it a bonus to drone speed or dps, but less than the gallente dps bonus.

omfg, did the word BALANCE crossed ur mind at any point ?
Yes, it did. You can balance it with percentages. Would a drone speed bonus really help it ? Not really. Doing 2 things decently but being the best at neither kinda sounds minmatarish.I don't fly that race and doesn't freak me out as overpowered, just different.

So the people who want it perfectly even between shield/armor super caps:
Neither one would passively recharge. The shield boost amp would be void on super caps. The capital shield booster would= cap armor rep stats exactly. Slaves would affect super cap shields with exact same hit points as armor. Shield hardeners would be identical % as armor counterparts. No overload allowed for invul fields.
They would be exactly the same then, right?

Originally by: Bobbeh Ok and you think that its ok that armor tanks can get their EHP 40-50% more than shield tankers.... Would Making a shield hp Implant completely unbalance the system? Shield Regen plays no factor on the Cap battle field cause it doesnt regen even close to the damage capital ships deal
I was just looking at a way to make them exactly the same.Like having slaves effect super cap shield tankers. The passive regen doesn't help much in the fight, but both would need to be repped afterwards. Shields can get roughly the same ehp as it is. I was only looking at a way to make it exactly the same amount. Of course in doing so you would have to be sure to not let them gain an edge in resistances. You would also have to remove overloading invuls and remove passive recharge on shields to match armor. They would be equal then?
well if u r ok with having all meds for hardeners and **** u can make 62mil with cn invuls and xtype hardeners :>
Well said Apol I revoke my point its been a while since i looked at armor mods. Last i checked they werent that expensive :P Maybe it has to do with Dominion and all the armor tanking supercap pilots wanting mods
Wait, you're just goofing around now, right. You did this a page ago too.Yeah, you got me.

twice or 3 times the raw hp... ehp's being the same, it will still take the exact same firepower to kill you.
It might all be for not anyway. The test server doesn't reflect any of this now, and dev posts have stopped. They might have decided to scrap it again. Maybe they read the lack of mothership losses lately as meaning"they're good enough" as opposed to just not logging in?

Originally by: Zeveron I think I am doing somthing wrong bcs I am getting 43m ehps with 4 officer pdus w/o the leviathan bonus. 58m with the bonus.
CN PDUs give +6% shield hp, officer give +5%. Switch to CN PDUs and your w/levi bonus amount should be right at 61.6m
5 PDU's on a lev may not be a good idea in general, and with the missing 37.5% shield, it doesn't even come close to other titan's EHP any way.
You're quite right. It's far better to fit 4 CN pdu's and a damage control 2. This allows almost 62 mil effective hitpoints with the leviathon bonus and still out damages the other titans. This is with the best hardeners. You could drop to second best and still be in the same area and way more if you overload.
The only thing it might need is a fix to the gang bonus insta effect. If this goes through they should make shields and armor on super caps static and remove the passive recharge to make it even.

Namely:
- Hel's missing bonus
- Fighterbomber's extreme vulnerability to bombs
- Leviathan -1 launcher / rebalanced launcher damage.
- Bigger supercarrier models.
- Undersized Supercarrier dronebays / lack of separate bays for fighters / bombers / drones
- Naglfar having weakest tank and lowest damage, but 30% higher skillpoint requirement
- Sieged dreads that drift forever
this PLUS
* shield tanking 'gap' on session changes
* lack of slave equivalents for shield tanks
Since the wyvern can sport a far better ehp fit than a nyx, what would it look like with slave equivalent implants ?Maybe titan like stats ?
